  • S2 #19: The Union I Kept Looking for Was Already Inside Me

Season 2 begins — and this one's different. It's called The Return to Yourself, and it's less a framework taught from the outside, more an experiment in bringing you along in real time.

Inside this episode: the divine masculine and divine feminine as characteristics every woman carries, not a gender divide. The Ayurvedic concept of ojas, and why perimenopause is asking for a different kind of steadiness than the one that used to come automatically. A live embodiment practice to locate exactly where the imbalance is sitting in your body right now.

This is one of the only times in a woman's life when the body forces the inner marriage instead of letting her avoid it forever. Every tradition old enough to have actually watched women go through this called it an initiation, not a diagnosis.

  • 18: The Automatic Yes (And the Pause That Breaks It)

Do you answer everything the second it lands? Text back instantly, say yes before you've felt anything, fill every open hour because empty ones feel like an accusation?

This episode is about the pause that breaks that pattern — one breath, held at the top, where your body actually gets a vote before your mind decides for you.

It picks up the woman from Episode 7. If you've been listening a while, you'll want to hear what happened to her.

  • 17: The Guilt You're Calling Kindness

You made the hard decision. So why can't you stop softening it? This episode is about the guilt that shows up after you've already trusted yourself — and the Ayurvedic reason it's quietly draining you dry.

  • 16: The Ozempic Divorce Nobody's Explaining Right

This episode goes somewhere else entirely — into what Ayurveda has known for thousands of years about fat and oil. Not things to eliminate. The actual symbols of love, safety, and connection. The quality is called snigdha. Its opposite, ruksha, is what a relationship feels like — with a partner, or with your own body — when it goes dry.

This isn't only a weight loss thing. Any fast change can trigger it. A diagnosis. A move. A new decade. The old container disappears before a new one's ready, and whatever was underneath gets exposed.

  • 15: I'm Working Out and Still Gaining Weight

You're showing up. You're being consistent. And your body is still changing in ways that don't make sense to you. If you've ever caught yourself wondering why the effort isn't producing the results it used to — this episode is for you.

In this episode we talk about what's actually happening in your body during perimenopause that changes the way you respond to exercise. Not because you're doing it wrong — but because the rules genuinely shifted, and nobody told you.

Whether you've been moving your whole life or you're just starting to build a relationship with movement now — this conversation will change how you think about exercise in midlife. And probably give you a lot of permission you didn't know you needed.

Body Reclaimed — Sonia's 14-day nourishment challenge — is open for enrollment.

  • 14: What Your Body Has Been Trying to Tell You

You've tried a lot of things. You've done the research, found the protocols, had the phase where something finally clicked — and then watched it stop working again. If you've ever caught yourself wondering if the problem is you, this episode is for you. We talk about the one layer nobody pointed her to — the thing that was running underneath every diet, every supplement, every attempt — and what happened when she finally understood it existed.

  • 13: Who Am I If I'm Not Who I Used To Be?

In this episode, Sonia names the stage most women in midlife are either standing in or terrified of — the Great Reassessment and the messy middle that follows it — and maps out what actually happens when the ground disappears. She traces the root of this free-fall back to her own six-year journey of rebalancing decades of go-go-go masculine achievement with a slower, quieter reclamation of her divine feminine: receiving, flowing, creating, allowing.

Drawing on Ayurveda, Tantra's Shiva-Shakti polarity, and the wisdom traditions that treat this passage as initiation rather than decline. This is an episode about identity dissolving before it renews. It's the doorway.

  • 12: The Boundary You've Been Avoiding

She said yes before she even decided to- that's a nervous system that learned agreeable was safer than honest. This week: what's actually underneath your "no" when it feels this dangerous to say, why your body starts bracing before your brain catches up, and the small, physical practice that helps you find your edges again — even after you've already said the wrong thing out loud.

  • 11: The Invisible Emotional Labor

In this episode, we're diving deep into the codependency that nobody talks about: the invisible emotional labor you've volunteered for because you thought it made you strong. We're talking about being in your head instead of your body, controlling conversations, preventing discomfort, and what it actually costs you—and the people you love—when you do.

    Here's what we cover:

    • What emotional labor actually is (and how it's different than what you think)
    • Why you're running a Kapha excess pattern and what Pitta fear is driving it underneath
    • The cost to your ojas (life force), your presence, and your aliveness
    • How you're actually stealing people's journeys by managing theirs
    • The shift from managing to witnessing
    • Real stories of what this pattern looks like with friends and kids
    • A somatic practice you can use this week to reclaim your presence
    • What to expect when you start to change this pattern

  • 10: I'm only worthy when I'm producing

In this episode, we're talking about the belief that's been quietly running your life: that your worth is tied to what you produce. And then midlife arrives—and suddenly your body won't support that belief anymore.

This isn't about burnout or the inability to rest (we covered that in Episode 8). This is about something deeper: the collision between Pitta values (drive, achievement, fire) and Vata terrain (the hormonal and life-stage shift into your second half of life).

Your hormones are changing. Your capacity is shifting. And instead of seeing that as an invitation to question an old belief, most women see it as a personal failure.

This is the belief that fuels everything. Once you question it, everything changes.
