It was an honor to sit down with Rinto Ariyadi. Based out of Jakarta, but he can usually be found in the overhead environments throughout Indonesia. From his early days of diving to searching for water filled, underground passages, he has become an advocate for diving sidemount. At a young age Anand Chandra Sekaran would be captivated by the documentary The Underground Eiger. This story of British Cave Explorers would be his motivation to pursue a career within the world of scuba diving. A journey that would propel him into a position of leadership. Traveling can lead to unexpected situations that can have an impact on our future path. A new adventure would move Alicia Christman back onto a journey to start teaching scuba again. A journey that began in Texas and continues to flourish in the Pacific Northwest. As she continues to develop her skills, moving from recreational to technical to overhead, she most enjoys capturing images to aid in identifying all the creatures of the underwater world.
