We can't let this year wrap up without our Christmas Spectacular on the Off the Chain NASCAR Podcast. We have predictions to review, smack to talk, and much love to give to many drivers for the ways in which they entertained us in 2022. Let's go!
After the season ended back in the early part of November, it took some time for Hoppy to come to terms with how the season ended. He is now releasing the podcast recorded only a day after Lamegano became a two time NASCAR champion. Stay tuned for a couple special episodes coming to you from the Chain Gang this off season!!
At Martinsville we saw 475 rather uneventful laps followed by 25 of the most insane laps anyone could ever witness in a NASCAR race. Thank you, Martinsville, you always deliver in October!! Ross Chastain made history and we are here to tell you what it was like to see it in person!!
LarSON spanked 'em, until Martin Truex took over and then Larson took the liberty of spinning Truex out on pit road. Now the Chain Gang has to clean up the aftermath and debate what we'll see when we all head to MartinsTHRILL next weekend!!
In this week's podcust the Chain Gang switches it up and has Checky MC the episode to help Hoppy out while he's under the weather. Willy just does his thang. We talk about all the angles in the Bubba Wallace calamity with Larson, revisit Hoppy's prediction for Logano in the final 4 and reflect on why the good race pool swings so much these days. Let's go!!
The 5th Roval race at Charlotte was the first one for the Next Gen car and it only fueled the criticism of this new car and how it performs on road courses and short tracks. Bell got it done and advanced to the Elite 8 when it was all over!
Chase Elliott schooled 'em for the Stage 2 win then brought home the W with a little help from Eric Jones. A clean race for a change... the only question is, were they scared to wreck?!
The Texas race was filled with all the twists and turns that we could have ever hoped for to make it an exciting race at a track that was NASCAR's most criticized for being boring. Let's get it all down and out!
The action at Bristol was nonstop! Although the on track action was interesting but not great, the chaos factor was on 10 with blown right fronts and failed power steering. NASCAR has a lot more work to do on this new car but Christopher Buescher is good with it!
Kansa 2022 did not disappoint with all the flat tires, spins, and hurt feelings. When it was all said and done, Bubba Wallace got his first outright win in NASCAR and a new era begins for 23xi racing!
