I'm joined this week by my friend Jack! Jack is a police officer, and it is an absolute honor to have him on the show for more reasons than I can count. He is an excellent human being with a massive heart for his community and a personality to match. What makes this episode even more exciting is that we actually recorded it in real time in his police car while he was on patrol. You'll have to forgive me as I geek out to the max for this one!
We talk about police technology, training, and expecting the unexpected in the line of duty. I also delve into some real-world best practices when dealing with emergency situations as an everyday citizen. In addition to Jack's experience in law enforcement, he also shares his experiences as a collegiate golfer, how he met his wife, and his dual citizenship in Australia and the U.S.

Perhaps the most noteworthy topic of our conversation is her recent and ongoing fight against breast cancer. Among the laundry list of things we touch on, we dive into the importance of community and how she found much positivity by chronicling her story through TikTok.

In this lively installment, I'm thrilled to have the talented photographer Jackie Murray as my guest. Jackie not only boasts exceptional photography skills but also exudes a vibrant and engaging personality. Our friendship began when she approached me to create a commercial for her photography business. Since then, we've maintained a consistent collaboration—referring clients to each other and continuing to work together on several occasions. I'm proud to share that Jackie will even be the photographer for my wedding coming up next year!
During our conversation, we explore Jackie's deep passion for photography and the fascinating interplay between photo and video. Additionally, we delve into the world of entrepreneurship, discussing the courage and perseverance required to transition from a side gig to a full-time career. I'm stoked to be hanging out with one of my dearest friends Pastor Steve McCarty. And for this episode, we find ourselves chilling in Pastor Steve's truck—escaping a blazing 95-degree heat and the relentless leaf blower buzz we didn't expect near our initial meeting place. But that's what we're all about—improvising and going with the flow here on Off The Cuff! :)
Pastor Steve's story is one of the most engaging I've encountered to date. We chat about his time in Costa Rica—where he and his family began their journey as missionaries. We discuss language hurdles; cultural experiences; and some of the things that we Americans often take for granted. We also dive into the beginnings of Faith Community Fellowship, the church he founded back in 2006—which is still going strong today with a local and global impact!

Today, we find ourselves outside Sweet Hut Bakery & Café in Kennesaw, Georgia! I meet with Mohua Thakurta—otherwise known as Mo. Mo cut her teeth in the film industry in one of the most exciting ways imaginable—in Bollywood in her home country of India! She shares a story or two about her time there—as well as how she developed an interest in filmmaking altogether. And believe me—she's worked on some pretty cool stuff in her career!
I met Mo in 2013 during my tenure at the Art Institute of Atlanta; she was my portfolio instructor! We've since gone on to work together on several video production jobs in the Atlanta area, and we continue to spread our love for the craft and power of video one project after the next.
