For one family, butter sculpting and politics is their bread and butter. The butter sculpting is the bread and the politics is the butter. For another, butter sculpting makes a young foster girl melt together with her new family. Lot of Iowa-centric politics discussion in this one as well as politics at large. Sorry, not sorry.

Seems we're headed back to the UK with this one. Lots of baking to be had, and in more ways than one. This one made us very hungry for some specific foods. We also spent more time than usual on Jewish tangents. Would recommend the movie even if you are not Jewish.

Is it a coming of age allegory or a coming out metaphor? Very likely  both! This Netflix produced movie crammed as many unicorns and rainbows  into each shot as they could. So many of these characters ended up being  way more interesting than they had any right to be. Side note, this  movie may very well also be evidence in a harassment suit against Gary.

Huge Content Warning for sexual situations, some of which have dubious to no consent. 

Trusting Parker and Stone to talk about the porn industry is a big ask. But the 90s were a different time. We get the bizarre result from combining "Mormons" and porn. Much like real porn, most of the people kind of phone it in. But a few breakout performances really help the comedy. We also have our first ever guest come on.

This movie kicks off with some real world events, the death of Don LaFontaine, a voice actor who coined the phrase "in a world..." Just about every single character has horrendous social skills. Sophia geeks out on linguistics. Kyle recites multiple filmographies. Both of us do some accent work of varying quality. A nice Sundance indie darling that is overall quite enjoyable to watch.

To some, David Hasselhoff has kind of a punchable face. But for one desperate club owner, he'd go so far as to kill the Hoff. This is a pretty solid comedy with a surprising amount of themes to discuss. We also start numerous conversation threads that we do not have time to get into.
