Off The Record Podcast

The fellas address commentary around black people celebrating Juneteenth. Some are adamant that there is nothing to celebrate, while others choose to pay tribute to the historical event. We discuss which side of the fence we fall on and why.

This episode is the introduction our a new segment called OTR Stories! Our hardcore listeners already know that we have a tendency to stray away from that topic at hand time to time and end up telling a random story. So we decided why not make it a segment, and share more stories! We hope you enjoy!

First off, The fellas want to wish all the Father's out there a happy Father's Day! In this episode, we discuss the downplaying of Father's Day as a holiday by addressing some idiot saying Father's Day should be canceled. We also discuss Father's Day gifts, and we end off by giving Father's Day shoutouts to our own fathers! Tune in!

We found out that some women feel men don't pay enough attention to love languages, so the fellas discuss whether Men Need To Pay More Attention To Love Languages? Alex puts us on the hot seat with a pop quiz on being romantic, Mike's boo gives the blueprint for being romantic, then Mike puts us in awkward valentine day date situations to see how we would react. We vibe out at the end to some Valentine's Day classics w/OTR commentary.

Time to time, as Hip-Hop fans we come up with a "Hip-Hop Hot take" that we know it may just be you who believes in said hot take. Well Co-host Alex posted one on our group text thread and it went a little something like this:
"I've got a hiphop hot take yall might disagree with.... Outkast has a claim as maybe the greatest group of all time... But I think UGK was better" *Record Scratch*
And from that, this episode was born! We had hear him out, but only on WAX! Take a listen and see why he feels that way, and his reason for it!

A recent photo of Wiz Khalifa kissing his son on the lips has drawn a decent amount of criticism from media and fans. The fellas weigh in on whether they feel the criticism is warranted and whether they kiss their own kids. Somehow the conversation turns into a discussion of whether a person can contract herpes on their hands, and whether one of fellas uses breast milk in his cheerios. An interesting conversation with a touch of....us.
