Off The Road Again

Ross & Chris welcome Dustin Campbell from Ozark Mountain Adventure Vans. Dustin has been working with the Springfield Coach Group who also makes the adventure vans. The limo business gives the adventure van company a unique insight into the interiors of the vans. Ozark Mountain Adventure Vans will be at the MOORE Expo in February 2021.

Ross & Chris welcome Matt Caldwell of Tread Lightly to the show. Matt is the Executive Director of Tread Lightly and has a background in off-road motorsports. Matt has also worked for Jackson Motorsports Group with Michelin and BFGoodrich. He has been to Baja to support the races down there over ten times. His stories about participating with BFGoodrich and their pits are fantastic. 

Ross & Chris welcome Adventure Taco to the show. Dan has traveled much of the American West and Pacific Northwest in his trusty first-generation Toyota Tacoma. Dan talks about his detailed trip reports and his outlook on trips. Just get out there and found out what works and what doesn't work. They guys briefly discuss the early returns on the Ford Bronco Sport. It's positive so far.

Ross & Chris welcome Lance Gillies from EarthCruiser to the show. Lance grew up in Australia and shares a passion for self-sustained travel with his wife, Michelle. Together they run EarthCruiser in Bend, Oregon. EarthCruisers are on Mitsubishi Fuso chassis and are amazing off-road vehicles. Lance and Michelle have traveled the "Road of Bones" twice, toured Russia, Mongolia, and most recently traveled Europe down to Africa. Lance tells a fantastic story about a self-recovering their EarthCruiser in the Sahara!

Ross & Chris welcome Khris Korell & Ward Harris to the show. They run Long Range America which imports replacement and auxiliary fuel tanks from Australia. They are importing a 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser LJ77 LX from the Canary Islands. The fuel tanks are available for a number of different brands of vehicles including Land Cruisers, Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler JK & JKU, and many more. They also import Kaymar bumpers.

Ross & Chris welcome Chris Steuber to the show. Chris is the owner of UJoint Off-Road. UJoint upgrades E-Series Econoline Ford Vans with suspension kits and 4x4 drive systems. Base out of North Carolina, Chris has worked on every type of E-series van and many types of RVs. His own van, V4, is getting an upgrade to a new chassis and powertrain. UJoint's vans are located all over the world.

Ross & Chris welcome Jeff Glucker back to the show. Jeff is the editor-in-chief of Hooniverse and his own show on the MotorTrend App, Shift Talkers. He has driven the Aston Martin DBX and the Land Rover Defender recently. Jeff also drives his Mitsubishi Montero around the Southern California desert roads.

Ross & Chris welcome Adam Schalow to the show. Adam used to work at Blue Ridge Overland Gear and now works with Adventure Imports in Prescott, Arizona. Adam also drives his Jeep Cherokee XJ with a Mercedes turbo diesel swapped in as the engine. 

Ross & Chris welcome Joe Bacal to the show. Joe has worked as a Toyota test driver at the offroad center in Arizona. Joe has also raced and won Baja in a trophy truck and a Lexus LX570. Joe also works with Toyo Tires, Lexus, and others as a test driver/stunt driver. Joe has a YouTube channel where he has started posting his own videos.

Ross & Chris welcome John Watson to the show. John has owned a JDM 80-series Toyota Land Cruiser and now owns a Troopy Land Cruiser. The guys have a great discussion around JDM diesel vehicles being used in the US now.

John also runs the website, The Radavist. A site dedicated to bikes, travel, group rides, and the occasional product review. The Radavist has many in-depth looks at travelers using manual-powered two-wheel mechanisms to see the world.
