Off the Rush

It's week 2 of the Canucks season and the panic button is being pressed repeatedly by a frustrated fan base. Is there still time for the team to pull the nose up and save the season? The Montreal Canadiens are off to a better start than many people expected and an X factor on the back end is a key reason for their success. The reverse retro jerseys are out and we talk about the good, the bad, and the downright ugly renditions for this season. We also talk beer and why we are all going with domestic choices this year. It's the Season 2 Finale of Off The Rush! The Dave's and Ken get together to discuss the Matthew Tkachuk situation, the fallout of the NHL free agency period, and what quite possibly has been the strangest rebuild in NHL history. The Stanley Cup Finals could be ending way quicker than anyone thought, the Avs have the Lightning in a choke hold. Game 4 ended on a controversial note and Jon Cooper wasn't happy. The Stanley Cup Finals are here! The gang re-caps their playoff pool results through round 3 and it's still anyone's game. We move on to our Cup Final predictions, the majority of the guys think it's Colorado's year while McPhail says Tampa will remain on top. Out East, the Rangers and the Lightning are in a dog fight, will the eventual winner give Colorado a run for their money? Game 7 of this series is currently set to go on June 14th at MSG, the same night as a Justin Bieber concert! Who will be forced to re-schedule, the NHL or everyone's favorite Tim Hortons Pitch Man? We are halfway through the NHL playoffs! The Dave's are with you this week to re-cap the action from round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and prep you for round 3! We also discuss the controversial no goal call in the deciding game in the Battle of Alberta, as well as the unrelenting barrage of Book Making ads and intermission gambling segments that are airing during the games. We are midway through the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, time flies when you're watching hockey every night! We have a full bench for you this week as the gang breaks down the action from all of the 2nd round match-ups. The Panthers were toothless kitties against the 2 time defending Cup Champs. It looks like no one will stop the Lightning from getting back to the dance. Everyone thought Colorado would cruise through the west but the Blues have other ideas.
