Canadian hiker Louise Chaput set out on what should have been an easy 45 minute hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  Several days later her family sounds the alarm when she doesn’t return home as scheduled. The 68-year-old American expat, who had become a beloved figure in her Baja California community, vanished without a trace during what was supposed to be a leisurely hike on her wedding anniversary. Despite an extensive search involving local volunteers, military personnel, and rescue teams, Kat and her dog, Tootsie, disappeared amidst the park’s rugged terrain. The official search was called off just days later, but the questions linger. What happened to Kat? Where did she and Tootsie go? As the case remains unresolved, her family and friends continue to grapple with the enigma of her disappearance.
