I took a different format this time. Talking to yourself for 45 minutes is an interesting way to spend your time. This AMA covered some recent questions I received and a number of the 'greatest hits'. I probably got a bit too personal here, as I touched on growing up, my position on pro bono work, and places I could live. Hope you enjoy, as it is likely the only 'Off Track' AMA.
This time on Off Track, I sit down with the man you all know and love, Bill Moore of @NonEquityPartner. Funny, handsome, and insightful - the real triple threat. My west coast/corporate counterpart and explore what would have to happen in the industry for us to run out of content; get into our favorite memes, themes and accounts; and tell the story of the great realization that we are not so different. Many have called us the shining lights illuminating the dark corners of big law, bringing about meaningful change to the industry - that and professional sh*t talkers. You'll have as much fun listening as we did recording (especially if you're also drinking Macallan 18).
With the second installment of "Off Track" it's officially a series! Big kudos to me for making this happen. This time I sit down with tech titan Tony Thai of HyperDraft and we discuss the brass it takes to quit a six figure job and start your own company. We get into topics such as replacing lawyers with robots (or not), joining the Cobra Kai dojo, why I went to law school, and what diversity really means in big law. Once again, this was recorded and produced solely by BLB Productions, so please be understanding (podcast producer incoming).
In the first episode of "Off Track" BLB sits down with Julie McCane, founder and principal of Aletheia Global (@Aletheia_for_all). We dig into what is and isn't happening in the early "lawyer wellbeing" content, how to shift your perspective to get yourself right, the weird funk of the 'Big Law' industry, and some insights into the BLB origin story. This pilot episode was recorded and produced by BLB Productions (See me, when I should be billing) so please be understanding.
For the unenlightened, sit down and buckle up. Here on "Off Track" the creator of Big Law Boiz (me, BLB) gets into the weeds of the corporate world. The voice of the industry you've come to know and love dives in deep with people breaking free from the corporate shackles. Take some time to get Off Track, you'll like what you find.
