Rev. Mark Vander Hart and Rev. Andrew Compton describe this Old Testament course where students trace the canon of the Old Testament, along with a study of the history and principles of the interpretation (exegesis) of the Old Testament, with a particular focus on the books of Jonah and Ruth.
Rev. Andrew Compton describes the third of his exegesis courses in the Old Testament studies, namely, the exilic and post-exilic periods. Old Testament Professor Rev. Andrew Compton outlines the intricacies of studying the Old Testament books that take place before the monarchy and the particular redemptive-historical method of analysis (using the works of Geerhardus Vos and Meredith Kline) that is implemented in the classrooms of Mid-America Reformed Seminary. We hope that if you're weighing seminary options, this series of videos will be helpful for you.
