『人間が生きていくには動物や植物、魚などの生命を食べないと自分が生きていけない。スーパーにあるパックに入ったお肉だけでは、生命を直接感じることはできないけど、そのパックのお肉はもともと動物として生きていたわけだ。その生命を自分で取るようになると、死んだ動物を目の前に生命をより強く感じるようになる。同時に自分の生命も強く感じて、自分は生きてることをしっかり意識して、その動物の分も生きてかなきゃならない。』
