Hannah is my FAVORITE woman of the Bible, if not my FAVORITE Bible character, period. I learn so much every time I read her story, which takes all of two chapters of the Bible. We talk about the "Samuel" in your life, giving back God's good gifts for His glory, and living with open hands.

When I moved to California, it was the first time I didn't have my parents around. I had to find a church all by myself, and it was quite the experience! This past weekend, I found myself sinking under unbearable anger. I was trying to process how I should respond to all the turmoil that's going on in our world. Usually, I'm not prone to anger, but this weekend was an exception. But God used my devotions in 1 Peter 2:1-2 to show me exactly how to conquer my anger and any other aggressive emotions I was feeling.
