OH C'mon - Carnival Row Ep1 Review: British Superiority Complex Ah the first episode of a new show, what heckling lies in the future? This episode seemed to be primarily focused on scene setting, unsurprising for a first episode, and if ep 1 is anything to go by we can expect plenty of action thriller tropes (roof chases fo daaayz), cinema convenience (everyone happens to find the person they're looking for on a first try in this show), and oodles upon oodles of smarmy British racism. Can't wait.

OH C'mon - His Dark Materials Season 1 Episode 1 Review
It's much better than Disney movies.
Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Trailer Reaction
Since watching this film I have been exposed to some additional audience feedback and it seems like there are a lot of other "OH C'monners" out there. It says a lot that so many people watched this and thought "Move the entire planet? Sure I buy it. But that character is doing the silliest and most unbelievable thing right now." I'll entertain argument from the other side of the aisle that states the blatantly selfish behavior shown by some characters, potentially risking their own survival and that of their entire species, is a good representation of realistic human emotional response getting in the way of logical choice. But COME ON! A lot of those choices were basically "Better me and all of humanity die tomorrow than I die today." Whatever. Sick premise. Cool effects. WHY CAN'T I JUST ENJOY THINGS FOR WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT THEM?!

This isn't the eye rolling sarcastic cut at a flimsy plot full of continuity errors like you might be used to from the OH C'mon brand. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood didn't make a lot of those same rushed mistakes because it took such a meandering path. A rather plotless path actually but I don't think plot was ever the point. The movie weaves an arbitrary route through the lives of an aging Hollywood action star and his best friend and stuntman but that's just an excuse to showcase the glamour that was Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
So today we are going to talk about the unapologetic cavalcade of doom, gloom, and destruction that is the 80s kid's film, Neverending Story. I mean, every good hero's tale is going to be chock full of danger and adversity but right from the opening scene the heavy handed theme of DEATH in this film is, well, neverending. But c'mon it's a movie for kids so how bad could it be right?.......
