For the foreseeable future this podcast will be focused entirely on sharing stories of African American women throughout history and within the LGBTQIA+ community (because hellooooo PRIDE!!!) Today we are starting off a bit controversial BUT leaving out an incredibly important and powerful woman in black history for the sake of white comfort is exactly what we are NOT here for! Do I agree with or support violence? No. Do I respect a black female leader who fought to improve conditions for her people and community? Absolutely. Tune in to learn more about this fascinating female and her life!

This week Stephanie dives into the AMAZINGLY talented Eartha Kitt! She was a woman concieved by rape and raised on a cotton plantation in middle of nowhere South Carolina who grew up to speak 5 languages (sing in 7), was named the “most exciting woman on earth” by Orson Welles, and recorded the legendary songs such as Santa Baby, and voiced iconic characters such as Yzma from Emperors New Groove! Give this episode a listen to learn more about her wild life!
