Hey y'all - today we're gonna be talking about Noah, Deucalion & Pyrrha, and giving Gilgamesh a quick shout-out. Taimah will answer the question that everyone has been dying to know: were there unicorns on the Ark? And Caroline is back with more Zeus content as we struggle through our very own flood that is finals.
Today we're giving ya'll the second episode in our Myth in Media series! We're talking about one of Taimah & Caroline's favorite Disney movies: Hercules (Honey you mean HUNKules). If you love Danny DeVito and agree that Meg is the best Disney princess, this is the episode for you. We'll discuss whether it's accurate (definitely not) and how much we like it (Caroline has the whole movie memorized).
Happy Easter! Today's episode is all about Jesus' death. While Taimah tells the Passion story Caroline gets to learn all about crucifixion and discuss the similarities between your favorite Nazarine and Norse mythology's Baldur. The Ghost of Christmas Future (aka editing Taimah) makes several guest appearances in this episode so look forward to that, and we'll be back real soon with a new episode for your earholes.
If your favorite part of Game of Thrones was the Cersei/Jamie Lannister romance, then boy do we have an episode for you! Today Taimah talks about a little-known Bible story that takes place right after the events of Sodom and Gomorrah (spoilers: it's basically Israelite propaganda against the Ammonites and the Moabites), and Caroline gives a new meaning to the term "Oedipus complex".

Welcome back to another episode where we debate the age-old question: is Hades and Persephone a better love story than Twilight? We discuss the myth of the Rape of Persephone (NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT MEANS WE PROMISE), the hymn to Demeter, and modern interpretations of this myth that have made it incredibly popular, but also incredibly misunderstood (I'm looking at you, Lore Olympus).
Welcome back to another episode of Oh My Gods where Taimah and Caroline question whether to smash a god or die trying. We promised you guys some very unhinged content and this episode is here to deliver. If any future employers are listening to this - no you aren't.

Someone said that the only two things you can be sure of in life are death and taxes, but I would like to propose another: you can always be sure that a man will always talk about himself. In today's episode we are taking two stories from early Roman history and talking about the amazing women who were not given a fair telling at the time. Trigger warning for sexual assault and suicide - these women did not have it easy.

It's Spooky Season, and in honor of the best time of year, we're talking all about what happens when you kick the bucket. We cover Abrahamic religions, of course, the Greek and Norse afterlives, with a bit of Celtic and Egyptian thrown in just for fun. If you stick around till the end of the episode, you can hear us talk about what we think of death, and how Caroline wants to be bird shit someday.

Guess who's back? It's us! (shocking I know) This episode is a little all over the place but definitely worth a listen. Today Caroline talks about the birth of Hermes and how he and Apollo became best buds. Taimah recounts several stories about Paul including that time when Paul preached a sermon so boring someone died. We end with a bit of a discussion about the concept of religion so stick around if you want to hear that. Also - Taimah's cousin = Hermes?!??!

After a bit of a hiatus - Oh My Gods is back baby! Taimah and Caroline were finishing the spring semester and starting their summer jobs, so please don't curse us for not uploading in a minute. Today is the inaugural episode of what we hope will become a mini-series where we discuss mythology as it is portrayed in modern media. In today's episode we are looking at the God of War video games - specifically the 2018 one and Ragnarok. We discuss what we like about the games, what we don't like, and how we rate it on a scale of Taimahs.
