This is a quick podcast update because we have some GOOD NEWS. Shakiyla Stepney, a Temple Hills Maryland woman who's been missing for three months was found and is safe. We shared Shakiyla's story after being connected with her mother Michelle through the Black and Missing Foundation.

We caught up with Michelle to find out how her daughter is doing. Michelle also share here best advice and lessons learned for others who are still looking for their missing loved ones.

The title of the book is provocative but it makes some very good points. In 28 short arguments Blair shares why the debate about unwanted pregnancies and in turn abortion needs to shift from focusing on women and instead focus on men and what they do with their bodies.

It's a conversation that provides a whole new perspective at an age old issue, flipping how we talk about birth control on it's head.

On December 6, 2022 Shakiyla Stepney disappeared from her home in Temple Hills, Maryland. Shakiyla who her mother says has had special needs her entire life has always lived with her mother. Michelle says her daughter has never left or threatened to leave home and she is now on a desperate search to find her. In this episode, we speak with Shakiyla's mother about her search for answers, the challenges she's faced with local law enforcement, and the impact this has had on her family. We hope that by sharing her story, we can help bring her home to her family and friends.

In a episode 95 we heard from experts in the filed of missing persons, the founders of the Black and Missing Foundation. Derrica Wilson and Natalie Wilson talked about the uphill battle many families face from getting answers from investigators to media coverage. They also share the kind of resources available to families in similar situations.
