OH NO! My Metaphor is Failing…

Listen Later

Hey all – I’m not normally a fan of church signage, and I’m grateful to not have the responsibility for putting one up. But I did see one this week that made me smile. It said, “Blessed are those that stay home and flatten the curve, for they shall save lives”. Solid…

So…stay home, wash your hands, show your care for others in creative and safe ways…and fire up your device to join us in cyberspace at 10:45 a.m. for some music and Community Time, followed by a livestreamed Talky Bit exploring the limits and intrigues of metaphors in spiritual exploration and in life in general. All this, and you can stay in your ‘jammies. Life might not be “all good”, but there’s good to be found.

Kids Table – keep your eyes on The Table Facebook page here for the weekly post of a theme for the young ones to explore. Last week saw the kids posting art and ideas on the topic of “hope”. I’m looking forward to what less distracted imaginations might have to offer this week!

Finances – thanks to all who continue to give. For those who have asked (and maybe for some that didn’t), our “not in person” options for giving now include e-transfers. Information about that and other available options can be found here. If you do want to give via e-transfer, please contact me regarding what security question and password to use. You can reach me by replying to this email.

Speaking of which – thanks to all who have awakened their hidden pen-pal selves to engage in ongoing correspondence. I’m loving the conversations via email! I miss you all, and I’m very grateful for the open-hearted, big-minded chats we’ve got going on. I don’t think I’m at capacity yet, so bring it on.
