Race matters are intertwined with everything! You can't escape it. I definitely couldn't escape it physically and mentally when I landed in America- the race where race is INESCAPABLE! I had to educate myself and rewire my entire way of thinking. Trying to keep with what to do and not do was exhausting, and as a result, I had a poor high school experience.
