Shortly after President Joe Robertson announced his retirement in October, the OHSU Board of Directors set a goal of appointing a new president by July 1, 2018. And, as a public corporation of the State of Oregon, OHSU is subject to public records disclosure laws.

On Monday, an Amtrak Cascades train carrying 86 people derailed south of Seattle, killing three people and injuring more than 100 others. Nate Selden, an OHSU neurosurgeon was one of the first to arrive at the scene.
