National Hospital Week is this week, May 9 through 15th. It’s an opportunity to celebrate hospitals, health systems and health care workers - as they support the needs of their communities. Last week, OHSU week featured conversations with employees who work in Mission Control and Hospital Transportation at OHSU. This week, we hear from our patients.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness month. A month to highlight the importance of including people with developmental disabilities in all areas of community life. A policy change at the state level, senate bill 1606, guarantees Oregonians with disabilities access to people they trust to provide supports when they are in the hospital.

The Confidential Advocacy program provides confidential support services to OHSU members who have experienced any form of sexual misconduct — regardless of when or where it took place. CAP also provides education and training resources, self-care tools such as trauma-informed yoga and art therapy, and a community for survivors.
