To The City (Week 12) The letters to Timothy remind us that no matter what we are facing in life - overwhelming good, overwhelming bad, or someplace in between we must trust God. Our faith must mature into trust, but so often we find ourselves crying to God for clarity. Maybe we don’t need clarity, but need to trust him no matter what. (1 & 2 Timothy)
To The City (Week 11) Thessalonians urges us to live in a way to please to God (4:1). We should begin our efforts to please him where Paul often begins his letters…with grace and peace. We all need grace and must give more grace. We all need peace and we must be peacemakers. (1 Thes 1:1, 3:2-3, 4:1)
To The City (Week 9) Paul writes in Colossians 1:10 “live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way…” In this message we explore what living worthy of the Lord means for us. God has rescued us by his grace and now our lives must tell the story of what he’s done. (Col 1, Phil 1:27, Eph 4:1, Is 43:19)
To The City (Week 8) In this message we explore the hope and good news of Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3 for the Church (and each of us). We are encouraged that God, out of his glorious riches and his unlimited love, is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or even imagine. This prayer is for anyone who is hopeful, discouraged, hungry, hurting, eager, empty, passionate, or somewhere in the middle. (Eph. 3:14-21)
To The City (Week 7) God said, “Let there be light.” And we too must declare “let there be light” in our city! In this message we talk about our 2020 vision campaign and the things God is calling us to in our next chapter, plus we continue our To The City series by looking at an inspiring word from 2 Corinthians 4. (1 Cor. 9:22, 2 Cor. 4)
To The City (Week 6) We continue our To The City series with a message unpacking exciting news about our future and what God has next for us in our city! 2 Cor 6:2 says, “now is the time...” and nothing can feel more consistent to the work God is doing among us! (2 Cor. 6:1-2)
To The City (Week 5) This morning we welcome guest speaker Adam Barnett from Redeemer Church in Tulsa, OK. Adam discusses what it means to be a new creation in Christ and implores us to be ambassadors of Christ to our neighbors, friends and community through love, understanding, and compassion. (2 Cor. 5:11-18)
To The City (Week 4) In this message we talk about one of the most important themes of 1 Corinthians… the gifts of the Spirit. There is an undeniable connection between the gifts of the Spirit and the love of God. Gifts are nothing but a clanging cymbal without love – however, there is an excellent way that we can follow! (1 Corinthians 12 & 13, 14:1, 12, Romans 12:6-8)
To The City (Week 3) Are we running the race of life aimlessly and without purpose? Are we thriving or surviving? This morning we discuss simple and practical ways to grow our relationship with Jesus and run the race that God has set before us. (1 Cor. 9:24-27, Gal. 5:27, Heb. 10:23-25)
To The City (Week 2) The battlefield of the mind is a daily reality for so many. How can we find daily renewal and transformation? In this message we explore what scriptures teach us about the mind. (Rom 12:1-2, 8:6, 7:22-25, 1 Pet 1:13-15, 5:8-11)
