We rarely feel ready for the courageous things that our faith calls us to do and be. Gideon felt the same way and the Lord encouraged him, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” Perhaps we are more “ready” than we realize. Our faith isn’t always about courage, but it’s never absent of it. (Judges 6:12, 7:15, Jer 20:11, Pslam 28:7)

He was encouraged to be strong and courageous, but it took more than just that. Often before we experience the promise we walk through God’s intentional preparation. (Joshua 1:1-11)
