-I won't. See you later. 

-這次可不要遲到了。 
-不會的。待會兒見。 

要客氣地拜託對方時，只要加上please (if you please的省 略)就行了。 
be late (for)~是「遲到」的意思。this time的time不是指 時間，而是「機會」、「次」的意思。next time(下一次)和 last time(上一次)，也是一樣的用法。 
I won't.當然是I won't be late this time.的省略。雖然I will 可以縮寫成I'll，可是I will not 就不能說成I'll not，而是I won't。以下的例句也可以一併記下來: 
I'll be in Hong Kong next week. 
(下禮拜我會在香港。) 
I won't do it. 
(我不會做那件事的。) 
「see you+時間副詞」的意思就是中文的「~見」，如: 
see you later(待會兒見) 
see you next week(下週見) 
see you soon(回頭見)
