你要去哪裡？ 
-Where are you going? 
-I'm going to take a bus to the art museum. 
-It's much faster by subway. 

-你要去哪裡? 
-我想搭巴士到美術館。 
-坐地鐵會快得多。 

在路上遇到熟人時，問對方Where are you going?是很沒有禮貌的，對方可能會回你一句It's none of your business. (關你什麼事?)，然後擺付臭臉給你看。本單元是假設在「說話者向問路的人詢問其目的地」的情況下，所展開的一段對話，請各位不要誤會。 
Where are you going?也可說成Where are you headed?或 Where are you heading?，意思一樣。 
在前面的單元中，我們看過了像get， make，come這些可以 廣泛運用的動詞，take也是其中之一。若能充分活用 take這個字，儘管所知的單字不多，一樣可以進行相當多會話。
