Oklahoma Sooners Recruiting Report

While it certainly feels like momentum has shifted for the Sooners in the 2026 season after a huge win in the Red River Rivalry, has that momentum also made its way to the recruiting ranks? Oklahoma is still in a battle for 5-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall; where does his recruitment stand? 5-star OU commit Seneca Driver is still locked in with the Sooners, but is Kentucky starting to make an impression on the in-state talent? Could this weekend's matchup have a lot more riding on it than originally anticipated? Graydon Reid is another name OU fans should get familiar with as they find themselves in another recruiting battle with Kentucky, as well as Texas. Finally, Oklahoma has their eyes on two teammates from Southlake Carroll. With Luke Wilson already on board, can the Sooners also flip his teammate Brody Knowles? In a week in which the Sooners need big performances in the Cotton Bowl, a few future Sooners put up huge numbers themselves in the high school football scene. Josh went down to see Hutto Hippo, and 2027 Oklahoma safety commit Jaiden Fields had a monster game with 7 touchdowns. He may be a defensive pledge, but could we see him on the offensive side of the ball when he gets to Norman? Parker also saw his fair share of big games, starting with 2027 linebacker commit Cooper Witten, who was all over the field, totaling 20 tackles and 2 touchdowns. Finally, a trip up to New Jersey to see 2028 OU quarterback commit Trey Tagliaferri in what may be one of the best high school football games of the year. Josh and Parker join up again this week after both have been out and about seeing recruits and are about to be out and about once again. Look, the sky isn't falling on the recruiting trail. But an ugly loss to Georgia and a struggling offense, falling out of the rankings, fans up in arms... Not a great environment right now. And it appears at least one major recruit that was once thought to be a Sooner lean is being affected by the start of the season. The boys break it all down, as well as a recent trip to see Carson LaCombe and recent OU offers Reagen Smith and Tylan Henderson near Samaje Perine's old stomping grounds, Pflugerville, Texas. A sour week for OU Football fans finally has something to be proud of. The Sooners landed 2028 4-star linebacker Jay Schell along with 2028 receiver Colton Fitzgibbon. Josh took a trip to see offensive lineman Isaac Coughran and had the chance to speak with the 2027 Oklahoma commit. Parker had the chance to see another 2027 offensive line commit Tyson Ross who moves defenders, and works on his footwork over on the tennis court. Oklahoma is looking toward some defensive lineman and while you are probably well familiar with Kellan Hall, get used to the names Cassell Cruikshank and Cash Mathis. Finally, can Jason Witten looks to continue his recruiting success as the Sooners look toward 2029 tight end Noah Tarrant. All that and more on this edition of the Recruiting Report.

A dark week for Sooner fans did have a little bit of light after Oklahoma landed Bixby Tight End Connor Arant. While in Michigan, Parker took the trip to see 4-star Texas Tech commit Gideon Gash. Does OU have a real shot to flip? Josh went to see a couple of 2027 OU commits: running back Jakoby Dixon and cornerback Trenton Blaylock. Blaylock wasn't the only guy worth noting from Atascocita, as 2028 edge David Dotson (6'6 240 lbs btw) turned plenty of heads. Finally, can Oklahoma lock down another commitment this weekend when Kenyon Sweat takes his visit? I guess you'll have to stick around to find out. Who will be a future playmaker for the Sooners? On this edition of the Recruiting Report we highlight some potential future Sooners along with current OU commits. Josh went to catch up with Oklahoma running back commit Keldrid Ben who had plenty to say about his relationship with the OU staff. We then see what the two wide receiver commits of the 2027 class are up to in Malahn Green and Greydon Howell. Plus, can OU really go into the state of Alabama and steal a receiver(he is 6'3 btw). Week 1 of college football is here, and the Sooners hit the field Friday. However, they aren't the only ones playing under the Friday night lights. In this edition of the Recruiting Report, Parker and Josh hit the studio after speaking with some big-name talent. Josh was on the road and has exclusive interviews with five-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall as well as five-star tight end commit Seneca Driver. Another OU commit made his return to the field for the first time in a long time as Elija Harmon caused havoc. Down in Broken Bow, Greydon Howell shined at quarterback position, but don't be fooled; he will suit up as a receiver in the crimson and cream. Running back commit Jakoby Dixon had an electric performance, and Quarterback Trey Tagliaferri opened his season with Bergen Catholic.

High school football is starting back up all over the country and for Parker and Josh, that means recruiting season ramps up. On this weeks Recruiting Report, the guys hit the studio to cover some familiar faces. We take a close look at Cooper Witten as Josh found himself in a high school football game of a lifetime. We then take a trip over to Carl Albert to check in on Jax Wilkerson and Wyatt Cordray. We go from one powerhouse to another as we then jump up to Bixby, where Kaeden Penny is ruining the lives of every defensive line while teammates Connor Arant and Gavin Wilson make names for themselves in the 2028 class. Back down in Texas a receiver by the names of Aiden Seales has caught Josh's eye...and yes...he definitely compared him to a former Sooner legend. We finish this one off with two 5-stars. Take a break from the urge to watch the Sooners hit the field by catching up with the latest on some possible future Sooners. Parker and Josh hit the studio to give the latest on everything from 2027 to 2029 recruits. The guys start off with the new top ranked quarterback in the 2029 class, Ryder Flugence. Plenty of hype surrounds Oklahoma's receiver room, but how about a look at what the future may hold by way of Carter St. Junious and Kenyon Sweat. How about an old school number on the defensive line? Well head down to Manvel, Texas and you will find Brayson Robinson ruining any offenses day. We then stay in-state as we head to Piedmont to see King Underwood and over to Jones to see Jeymon Reed. We finish the day visiting with some already committed future Sooners with 2027 edge Samuel Nelson and 2027 offensive lineman Jaxon Lawler.

Parker and Josh are back in the studio talking all things recruiting. Fresh off a trip down to Cache, there is a a new player on the guy's radar by the name of Kenyon Sweat. Among the emergence of the Oklahoma product, the Sooners are also looking to stack up the stars on the defensive side of the ball. Kellan Hall may be within arms reach, but he isn't the only highly ranked defensive lineman the Sooners are pursuing as 5-star Jalanie George, 4-star Prince Che, and 4-star Asher Ghioto continue to turn heads.
