This Sunday we continue our count down towards the close of the Gospel of Luke, in our “Discipleship 101: Final Exam” series. If you get a chance, read through Luke 22:39-23:25. In addition to the agony of what Jesus was going through in the garden, the weakness of Jesus disciples continues to scandalize and encourage us. Part of us wants to be incredulous, asking "how could you!?" But at the same time we are compelled to confront our own weakness and conclude, "If God could use people like them, perhaps He can use me too!?” Be sure to be with us this Sunday @ either 9 am or 11 am for “Sleeping Students?", as we fall in love with Jesus again, through worship & the word.

My response to failure profoundly impacts my future! The disciples of Jesus failed their first major test, as their training with Jesus was nearing the completion of the first course. The series that will lead us through the close of our study in the Gospel of Luke is called “Discipleship 101: Final Exam” and this week’s message, out of Luke 22:1-38, is called “Failed”. All is not as it appears to be …we’ll discuss this as we gather around the Lord’s Table. And, since we know the end of this story, there is always much to sing about and celebrate together.
