Jesus made 5 requests of the Father, on our behalf. We looked at the first 2 requests last Sunday, and the remaining 3 this Sunday.

There is something about the intimacy of family that fits well with the vine & branch imagery Jesus uses to describe the interconnectedness of the Body of Christ.

He is Your permanent companion, constant Advocate (v16-17), and we are NOT abandoned! Rather, He will "teach" (v26) and He brings "peace" (v27).

Jesus wants to spend eternity with you! "I go to prepare a place for you" (v2).

Jesus Loves You! His sheep "enter through the gate" - John 10:2. Jesus IS "the gate for the sheep" - John 10:7. Jesus "sacrifices His life for the sheep" - John 10:11. His sheep "listen to [His] voice; [He] knows them, and they follow [Him]." - John 10:27.
