This video introduces our worship service this coming Sunday. In Romans 14 & 15 Paul calls believers whose faith is “strong” to bear with those whose faith is “weak” …but who the “weak” and the “strong” are might surprise you. The Apostle Paul is continuing to flesh out what the body of Christ – this new family, the church – is to look like. I’ve prepared a 2 minute video intro this Sunday for you. This week we’ll be looking at Romans 12:9-21 where Paul begins to paint a picture for us, of what a transformed life looks like. A life lived in view of God’s mercy (12:1), transformed by the renewing of our minds (12:2), and now showing up in deed and action (12:9-21).

Jesus said that loving one another would be that which identifies His followers to our world. This Sunday we’re going to consider how Paul unpacks this! What does the church family look like in action? In Romans 12:9-21 Paul begins to paint a picture of what this new family, the church, is to look like. I’ve prepared a 1 1/2 minute video intro this Sunday for you. We have some encouraging examples of the church in action among us.

Fortunately, living life together as a nuclear family, with brothers and sisters and in laws and outlaws is always easy, right? Or maybe not? The fundamental violence in the Garden of Eden was a break down in relationship. This Sunday we’re going to look at why there is hope and why, if we are willing to live in Christ according to Paul’s instructions, there is every expectation that we can live in repaired relationships in this remarkable new family that is called “the Church”.
