The internet has not made researching easier. It is easy to get overwhelmed. Whether a teacher or student, you need to understand strategies and methods of improving information literacy. In this podcast, I look at a couple of fantastic resources. Project Information Literacy organized by Dr. Alison Head and Big6.org, a Dr. Mike Eisenberg creation.

No more chalkboard or whiteboard agendas. If you have a computer, projector and screen maybe an LMS or website that you put class content on. Then you need to embed or insert (share) a Google Slides agenda.

Embed the Slides= File>Publish to the Web>choose the size of the doc or leave it alone>click Publish>a separate box asking if you are sure-click yes>choose Embed (this is gray but you can choose it)>highlight the embed code in the box and ctrl C to copy>then use the embed or html function in your LMS and most LMS’s have YouTube channels that will show you how to do this.

I take a look at the essential list of lists I compiled in my May blog post. I did this to provide a resource for my colleagues who were getting a new Chromebook as a result of the 1:1 initiative in the district. Also, What is Essential? I tackle that word and I think I give a good smackdown...not bad for an old dog.
