The movie grossed over $346 million dollars on a $125 million dollar budget and received mixed to positive reviews from critics and fans claiming that while it was colorful and entertaining with some of its songs, it borrowed heavily from the live action Smurfs film, The Lego Movie, and Strange Magic for it to stand out. It focuses on a bell hop named Ted (played by Tim Roth) and his experiences of caring for his hotel customers during New Year's Eve told in four different stories involving with a covet of witches needing a secret ingredient for their concoction, a psychotic couple, a pair of sadistic children, and a bet involving with winning a car by lighting a lighter 10 times in a row or a finger would be chopped off. The final anthology segment is based on a Roald Dahl short story called “The Man from the South”.  

When the movie premiered in theaters, it was panned by critics calling it "the most disappointing movie of 1995". Four Rooms barely made its 4 million dollar budget and the film has been forgotten overtime. Is it an overlooked gem or one of the worst movies ever made? Listen and find out.

In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the third and final movie in the Kung Fu Panda trilogy, Kung Fu Panda 3. The plot focuses on Po becoming a proper kung fu teacher after Master Shifu retires with the results not going as well as he thought it would. But an unexpected meetup with his biological father Li Shan ends up with Po going to a panda village where he would train the other pandas kung fu. A villain named Kai threatens all the kung fu masters by stealing their chi to become more powerful. Will Po teach the other pandas kung fu in time? What path will Po choose in who he'll see as his real father?  

When the movie premiered in theaters, it was a major hit in the box office receiving over $521 million dollars on a $145 million dollar budget. It also received positive reviews from critics saying that while it wasn't as good as the previous films, it was a nice conclusion to the trilogy. What do Patricia and Arun think of the movie?
