Based on the Wallace & Gromit shorts, the movie is about an inventor named Wallace and his dog named Gromit who have a job of catching wild rabbits to protect people's gardens in time for a giant vegetable contest. Wallace uses a mind control device to get them to lose interest on veggies and it works at first. However, things turn for the worse when a giant were-rabbit is causing trouble on the town and it's up to Gromit to stop it. Who is the were-rabbit? Will it be defeated before the town and its veggies disappear? When the movie premiered in theaters, it gained $192 million dollars on a $30 million dollar budget and had won the Oscars for Best Animated Feature. It was the 2nd DreamWorks film that distributed an Aardman Animations feature, but it was the first time that Wallace & Gromit was adapted to a movie. How well does it hold up today? But their crates fall overboard and they land in Madagascar meeting up with a group of lemurs lead by King Julien. Alex begins to have a craving for meat and tries to fight his urge to eat his friends. Will he succeed? Will they find a way back home or settle in their new home land? When the movie premiered, it made over $532 million dollars and received mixed reviews. However, it was the start of a huge franchise that kicked off sequels, spinoffs, and TV shows.
