In this episode of DreamMachine, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2005 DreamWorks animated film, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Based on the Wallace & Gromit shorts, the movie is about an inventor named Wallace and his dog named Gromit who have a job of catching wild rabbits to protect people's gardens in time for a giant vegetable contest. Wallace uses a mind control device to get them to lose interest on veggies and it works at first. However, things turn for the worse when a giant were-rabbit is causing trouble on the town and it's up to Gromit to stop it. Who is the were-rabbit? Will it be defeated before the town and its veggies disappear?  When the movie premiered in theaters, it gained $192 million dollars on a $30 million dollar budget and had won the Oscars for Best Animated Feature. It was the 2nd DreamWorks film that distributed an Aardman Animations feature, but it was the first time that Wallace & Gromit was adapted to a movie. How well does it hold up today? While on his way to a race in California, he accidentally destroys the roads of a small town called Radiator Springs and is sentenced to repair all the damages. While fixing the roads, he becomes friends with many characters like a pick up truck named Mater and a love interest named Sally. Will Lightning make it to the race in time? Will his way of life change by the cars in this small and humble town?  When the movie came out, it received mixed to positive reviews and generated a lot of money from its toys and merchandise. Some people point out that this movie was the beginning of the end of Pixar's golden age. Is that true? Is this movie really that bad? Listen and find out.

In this episode of We're in Between, Patricia, Casey, and Ashli celebrate Halloween early with discussing about the 13th episode of As Told by Ginger "I Spy a Witch".  Miranda and Mipsy vandalized the school statue as part of a Mischief Night prank with the principal interrogating all the students to who's responsible. A play about the Salem witch trial is coming up with Miranda wanting the lead role, but Ginger ends up getting it. She then decides to place to the blame on Ginger for vandalizing the statue. Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey are having a difficult time scaring Lois, so they decide to perform a seance to speak to Maude from the dead to get help. Is it a scary good time or does it become too strange for its own good?

In the first episode of DreamMachine of 2019, Patricia and Arun discuss about the 2005 film Madagascar. It stars a lion named Alex, a zebra named Marty, a giraffe named Melman, and a hippo named Gloria living happily in the Central Park Zoo in New York City when Marty wishes to leave the zoo and live in the wild. However, they're mistaken for wild animals and are shipped to a zoo in San Diego while a group of penguins head over to Antarctica. But their crates fall overboard and they land in Madagascar meeting up with a group of lemurs lead by King Julien. Alex begins to have a craving for meat and tries to fight his urge to eat his friends. Will he succeed? Will they find a way back home or settle in their new home land?  

When the movie premiered, it made over $532 million dollars and received mixed reviews. However, it was the start of a huge franchise that kicked off sequels, spinoffs, and TV shows. How does the first movie hold up today? Listen and find out.
