Oleg Korablev is the Head of Department at Space Research Institute, Moscow. He develops science instruments for interplanetary spacecraft. His recent device at ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter has set a very low upper limit on methane, being continuously detected at the surface by the Curiosity rover but discovered a new chemically active species, the hydrogen chloride.
