La verdad he estado demasiado tiempo ausente en todo el mundo digital y sobre todo en Hive. Y quise hacer este video para al menos recordar que cumplimos esa meta de poder mejorar, aunque sea un poco nuestro home estudio.

Hoy quiero compartir este recuerdo de un de una de mis primeras improvisaciones junto a un gran pana mío Ronny Mendez hace ya como 4 o 5 años. Realmente ahora me da mucha risa ver ese video en esos tiempos pensaba que era el mejor del mundo, cuando incluso hoy en día me falta mucho camino por recorrer.

Básicamente, es “una batalla” de solo una ronda cada uno y aunque no nada del otro mundo, es un buen recuerdo para mí. Además en eso días también estaba empezando definir el nombre de "nuestra marca" Alto Contenido Musical (ACM) la cual basicamente usabamos para todos nuestras inventaderas.

Hoy quiero contarles un poco sobre la prueba de ángulos y luces que hice con mi primo el otro día, para cuando por fin comencemos a grabar a los artistas en nuestro estudio y también mostrarles uno que otro video que grabamos de prueba ese día. Como tal es algo sencillo por ahora, pero en el camino iremos viendo que nos inventamos.

Today I want to tell you a bit about the angle and light test I did with my cousin the other day, for when we finally start recording the artists in our studio and also show you the odd video we shot as a test that day. As such it's something simple for now, but along the way we'll see what we come up with.

La idea principal era hacer algo aparecido a las secciones de Bizzarap en donde se llega a ver tanto al artista al frente como al productor(en mi caso beatmaker) en la computadora en el fondo del video. Pero también queríamos probar con diferentes ángulos y alturas a ver que tal nos quedaba.

The main idea was to do something similar to the Bizzarap sections where you get to see both the artist in front and the producer (in my case beatmaker) on the computer in the background of the video. But we also wanted to try different angles and heights to see how it would look.

Movimos un poco las cosas para “aprovechar” los mejores lados de la habitación y colocamos una luz verde en las primeras pruebas, que la verdad no me convence mucho, así que posiblemente la descarte como opción para cuando venga un cantante a menos que al mismo le guste.

We moved things around a bit to "take advantage" of the best sides of the room and placed a green light in the first tests, which I'm not really sold on, so I'll probably discard it as an option for when a singer comes in unless the singer likes it.

También intenté poner el teléfono en un punto elevado y me parece que quedaba una vista interesante, aunque es algo incomodada para grabar y justo ahora no tengo otro paral o trípode que llegue tan alto, así que por ahora esa opción queda descartada.

I also tried to put the phone on a high point and it seems to me that it was an interesting view, although it is somewhat uncomfortable to record and right now I don't have another parallel or tripod that reaches so high, so for now that option is discarded.

Luego intentamos poner la cámara frente a la pared en donde está la computadora y con el artista de lado. Me parece que esta también puede ser una buena opción. También intentamos en una donde al artista se le vea un poco mejor la cara en la cámara, que obviamente es lo más importante, pero en los anteriores simplemente queríamos darle un toque distinto para variar.

Then we try to put the camera in front of the wall where the computer is and with the artist on the side. I think this could also be a good option. We also tried one where the artist's face looks a bit better on camera, which is obviously the most important thing, but in the previous ones we just wanted to give it a different twist for a change.

Con esta pequeña prueba nos dimos cuenta de que todavía tenemos mucho más que practicar y pensar, además de todo el proceso musical, aunque según yo leído y visto bastante sobre este tema.

Y se que cuando digo que tenemos que "copiar" se escucha mal, pero es la verdad. Realmente siempre tenemos que copiar algo en cierto grado, sin llegar a hacer una replica exacta tampoco no, ¡Cuidado con eso!.

Hoy les voy a estar contando uno de los mayores orgullos que me ha dado mi carrera como beatmaker y mostrares un fragmento de la presentación de un gran colega mio.

Cuando empecé en esto vi el camino medio nublado porque realmente yo no estudié producción musical, ya tenía conocimientos como músico pero como beatmaker nada de nada !!! En esos tiempos por mi cabeza no pasaba ni la más remota idea de que sucediera algo grande…

Hoy en día tengo el orgullo de decir que mi música está sonando en las calles y para un beatmaker que no tuvo estudios formales esto es muchísimo. Conectar con cantantes es algo que hasta el sol de hoy no me sale del todo bien. Digamos que tengo una racha de 7 intentos y 3 ganados los demás los perdí jajaja

En esta ocasión hablaré de un cantante muy versátil que es el caso de mi amigo Yorman,

Que subida de emociones cuando vi las notificaciones en las redes sociales y escuchar su canción con el beat de fondo fue algo que WAO NUNCA VOY A OLVIDAR. Me llena de mucha emoción que mi amigo se presentado con esta canción como uno de sus temas promocionales.

Pareciera que fuera ayer cuando solo pensaba en mejorar mis beats y con este pensamiento han pasado dos años y hoy puedo ver que las maduras comienzan a salir.

Meconozco el esfuerzo y el trabajo que ha hecho mi amigo para llegar allí también reconozco el hecho de haber confiado en mí para que pueda materializar su idea y llevarla a algo comercial. a veces se me olvida que el granito de arena que puedo aportar se puede convertir en el eje para cambiar una vida

Este es mi primer video en la comunidad y creo que lo mejor es presentarse primero ¿cierto?, así que hoy les hablare un poco sobre mi, lo que hago, lo que haré y lo que opino sobre este nuevo proyecto que realmente me ha emocionado mucho.

Un joven venezolano amante de la música y estudiante de arquitectura. En la actualidad soy un beatmaker que aspira convertirse en un gran productor musical y artista por lo que cual estoy trabajando y desarrollando cada vez mi proyecto y carrera musical, aunque voy poco y también soy estudiante de arquitectura por lo cual espero ser un gran arquitecto algún día, aunque quien me conoce sabe que mi mayor pasión, es por mucho la música.

A young Venezuelan music lover and architecture student. Creo que es una gran por tu oportunidad para todos los hispanohablante, para expresarse y conectar con sus publico de una forma mas directa y solida, en una comunidad que les permite básicamente publicar “los que quieran”, mientras objetivamente cumpla con sus reglas. Por mi parte creo que casi anda de lo que se me ocurra rompa alguna de ella, y de todo modos estoy aprendiendo a mirar con lupa, todo lo que digo y hago, por si acaso, así que veamos como se desarrolla todo esto.

Por cierto Me llamo Oswaldo Jesús Liendo Ugueto, pero... Llámame Olu. Tengo 20 años, Mucho que hacer y poco tiempo que perder.

I think it's a great opportunity for all Spanish speakers to express themselves and connect with their audiences in a more direct and solid way, in a community that basically allows them to publish "whatever they want", as long as it objectively complies with its rules. Today I want to tell you about the first time I sold a beat.

I have to admit it was kind of funny the way our first client contacted us. He wrote us on acmbeats instagram thinking we were a music advertising company(that made me think you were sending the wrong message) and asked what the service was like, I told him we were providing a beatmaking service and not an advertising one.

He was surprised and then immediately asked "How much is a beat?" at that time we were only charging $10. After telling him the price he added us to a whatsapp group where there were also other singers and they told us that they were all from Chile and that they were starting a big project over there, to which they also wanted to invite them but as we were just starting to know this world we didn't want to commit ourselves at that time and we preferred to continue developing our project on our own. And that's when the guy who added us asked us for a mambo and I said "fire".

At first I thought that "Mambo" was the way they call beats in Chile and that he was asking me for a beat of some genre like trap or reggeaton which was the only thing we had published on the youtube channel at that time, but when he sent me the reference for the beat I realized that we were not talking about the same thing.

Until then I didn't know that there was a type of merengue called mambo and I got scared because I had never produced a merengue before, and I felt that it was something very different from what I knew how to do, but I thought "I've already bought into the mess, I can't back out" So I told him that I gave myself a chance. I researched, analyzed and looked for some sounds very similar to the reference together with my cousin and we released for the first time in our life a merengue instrumental with which the client was satisfied and even asked us to do a couple of melodies more with some trumpets and he also loved that we made the melodies as he requested.

After we gave him the beat, he wouldn't stop recommending us to his friends in the whatsapp group, we are even planning to produce an album for him and track a couple of them but... let's say it wasn't the same chemistry and in the end that part didn't come out too and we lost contact with time.

But well I can't say that I didn't learn anything from this experience, where I realized that I still have a long way to go in this world but it served me as a great lesson and motivation to continue.

Hoy quiero contarles como fue la primera vez que vendí un beat.

Tengo que admitir que fue algo gracioso la forma en que nos contacto nuestro primer cliente. Este nos escribo por el instagram de acmbeats pensando que eramos una compañía de publicidad musical(eso me hizo pensar que estabas enviando el mensaje equivocado) y pregunto como era el servicio, le dije que nosotros estábamos dando era un servicio de beatmaking y no uno de publicidad.

El sorprendió y luego de inmediato pregunto “¿Cuanto vale un beat?” en ese momento solo cobrábamos 10$. Luego de decirle el precio nos agrego a un grupo de whatsapp en donde también estaban otros cantantes y nos contaron que todos eran de Chile y que estaban empezando un proyecto gran por allá, al que también querían invitarlos pero como estábamos comenzando a conocer este mundo no quisimos comprometernos en ese tiempo y preferimos seguir desarrollando nuestro proyecto a parte. Y alli fue cuando el pana que nos agrego nos pido un mambo y yo le dije “fuego”.

EL principio pensé que “Mambo” era la forma como le decian a los beat en Chile y que el me estaba pidiendo un beat de algun genero como el trap o el reggeaton que era lo único que habíamos publicado en el canal de youtube en eso tiempos, pero cuando me envió la referencia para el beat me di cuenta que no estábamos hablando de lo mismo.

Hasta entonces yo no sabia que había un tipo de merengue llamado mambo y me asuste porque yo nunca había producido un merengue antes, y sentía que era algo muy distinto a lo que yo sabia hacer, pero pensé “Ya me compre el lio, no me puedo echar pa’tras” Así que le dije que me di era un chance. Investigue, analice y busque unos sonidos muy parecidos a la referencia junto a mi primo y sacamos por primera vez en nuestra vida una instrumental de merengue con la que el cliente quedo satisfecho he incluso nos pido el favor de hacer un par de melodías mas con algunas trompetas y también le encanto que hiciéramos las melodías tal cual como el las pedía.

Despues que le entregamos el beat, no dejaba de recomendarnos con sus amigos en el grupo de whatsapp, Incluso estamos planeando producirle un disco y tema uno par de ellos pero... digamos que no fue la misma química y al final no esa parte o salio también y perdimos el contacto con el tiempo.

Pero bueno no puedo decir que no aprendí nada de esta experiencia tan atropellada, donde me di cuenta de que me falta un buen camino por recorrer en este mundo pero que me servio de gran lección y motivación para seguir.

Como ven el video hoy quise compartirles este reto que me propuso mi primo para hablar un poco mas de mi por aqui en hive en donde tuve que constestar estas 41 preguntas (mas o menos) sobre mi y mis proyectos. Esto tambien fue inspirado por un blogging challege de su primera edicion que vi el otro dia aunque en vez de 20 cosas fueron 41 preguntas.
