Omonye’s Corner

In this episode of Omonye’s Corner, we delve into the topic of Anti-Blackness in the Muslim Community, with 4 special guests. Fatmata, Mueed, Hudayfa, Heba and I discussed how this issues manifests itself in everyday micro aggressions, where my guests believe the antiblackness in the Muslim Community stems from, and what actions can be taken to combat this issue.

To be clear, the views represented in this podcast are in reference to Anti-Blackness in the Muslim Community, not in the religion of Islam itself. Islam itself was successfully embraced by people because of how it promoted the fundamental idea of equality and anti-racism.
