This episode is a little more personal.
I share the story of one of the most overwhelming periods of my life and how, through an unintentional act, I slowly found my way back to myself. Looking back, I realize that simple moment changed more than I ever expected.
If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or like you’ve drifted away from who you are, I hope this story brings you a little comfort; and maybe helps you find your way too.
Get comfortable, settle in, and let’s talk.
Found another story I couldn’t keep to myself, and tonight, I’m sharing it with you.
Get comfortable, relax, and let your imagination do the rest. This is a story about family, silence, sacrifice, and how the truth is sometimes hidden behind the stories people choose to believe.
Come with me.
Remember the story we started last night? Well… it’s time for the final chapter.
Sometimes, we can be excessive in the way we say no and prioritize ourselves. Life often demands that we adapt. Some relationships are worth holding on to, and with time, we must learn to meet our lovers halfway while working through our differences.
Your night’s about to get even better. Get comfortable, settle in, and let’s dive in.
I came across a story on X and knew I had to share it with you. No need to grab your popcorn; just get comfortable, settle in, and let’s have a go at it together. You might laugh, reflect, or even see things a little differently by the end.
In this episode of Omotayo’s Lullabies, I explore why saying “no” is a vital act of self-care. Through a short narrative of an unmet expectation in the diaspora, I highlight how gratitude and boundaries go hand-in-hand. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to protect your peace by setting limits.
Sometimes, expecting the worst feels like protection, but what if it’s actually keeping us from truly living?
Tonight on Omotayo’s Lullabies, we reflect on how pessimism can stem from trauma, our environment, and our upbringing, why it quietly robs us of life’s beauty, and why choosing optimism is about hope, not denial.
Settle in, reflect, and enjoy tonight’s conversation. 🌙
It’s halfway through 2026, and in this episode, we reflect on the journey so far. I narrate a story of two pairs of friends, whose friendships and dreams were torn apart by unspoken desires and betrayals
I also remind us all to be grateful; grateful for the steps we’ve taken, even if some goals are still ahead. The second half of the year is full of promise, and as we keep moving forward, let’s stay hopeful and thankful.
In this episode I reflect on how when I was very young, I saw asking for help as a weakness, something that made me vulnerable to being taken advantage of. But today, I share how that perspective has shifted. Asking for help is not a sign of failure; it’s a powerful recognition that we thrive when we support one another.
Exploring the profound truth that each of us is someone else’s hope. I highlight the responsibility we carry to care for ourselves, achieve our dreams, and remain healthy, because our success is often the beacon others rely on. Whether known or unknown to us, people depend on our perseverance. Join me as I remind us all that our growth is not just for us, but for everyone who looks up to us.
One day, many of us will become parents. Some already are, while others look forward to that chapter of life. Every now and then, we wonder if we’ll be good parents, how we’ll provide for our children, and whether we’re truly ready for such a huge responsibility.
In this episode, I reflect on those thoughts and on the people who raised us. While it’s easy to focus on our parents’ mistakes, we sometimes forget the countless sacrifices, efforts, and moments of love that shaped who we are today.
Tonight is an invitation to pause, appreciate our parents for all they did, cherish the memories we have with them, and prepare ourselves to become the kind of parents our future children will be grateful for.
