John E. Monaco, MD, FAAP, received his medical degree from the State University of New York At Buffalo College of Medicine in 1981. He is Board Certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine.
Currently, he serves as Pediatric Intensivist/Hospitalist. Co-Director, Pediatric Conscious Sedation program and was the former Chairman, Dept. of Pediatrics Brandon Regional Hospital, He been there since 1992.
Dr. Monaco is an author of several books including Slim & Fit Kids - Raising Healthy Children in a Fast Food World, Co-authored several - including:
Moondance to Eternity: A Doctor’s Journey into the Hearts and Souls of Children Facing Death, 2006 and Too Small to Be Big: The AllStride Solution, 2010.
He's also a speaker on topics varying from childhood obesity, dealing with the death of a patient, dealing with teens, treating asthma, and other related topics..
