ON BROADWAY

A showing honoring my late mother-in-law.

Broadway veteran Betty Comden passed away this Thanksgiving. We celebrate her work with longtime partner Adolph Green tonight.

To celebrate the 1999 revival of "Kiss Me Kate' (which opened this weekend) we will hear the entire score from four sources--the original cast recording, the 1999 revival, the 1968 TV production and the 1953 movie score.

Not overtures, but the opening numbers from Broadway shows.

Broadway witches, monsters, and ghosts provide a melodic romp for the Halloween season.

Some of the best Broadway Overtures.

In recognition of the 45th anniversary of the opening of "How To Succeed in Business..." we play music from the catalog of Frank Loesser.

The first Sunday of every month is an all request show. This program, taped earlier, is for October 1, 2006.

A previously aired program from 2004, the show looks at politics on Broadway--just in time for the upcoming November mid-term elections.

Music from performers and shows that have the weekend of September 15th in common.
