Jessie Susannah Karnatz (she/her), aka the Money Witch, brings capitalism-critical, shame-free education to healers, hustlers, and creatives in order to catalyze change in their financial lives. She believes healing our finances will bring blessing to our lives, our lineages, and our communities. She offers education, Money Magic products, and Intuitive Financial Coaching online and in the Bay Area (unceded Ohlone land) and does it all with impeccable business lady style. Jessie Susannah is the cult leader at Money Coven, an online web of magical beings who are healing their relationship with money, showing up for their financial self care, and becoming powerful stewards to their resources.
Money can be a deeply triggering topic, and the idea of being “financially and spiritually aligned” might sound like an oxymoron. That’s why I was equal parts excited for and nervous about this conversation with the Money Witch, who works specifically to facilitate financial shadow work for her clients and followers. Listen in while we get real about rejecting denial, healing from the financial abuse of capitalism, and experiencing pleasure in the face of seemingly insurmountable struggle. Plus, hear us use the Tarot to “speak” to money directly, answering the impossible question: what does money want?
Tarot reading starts at 37:37.

Krista White (she/her) is the founder of queer sex ed platform Kiki for the Future. Founded in 2020, Kiki for the Future curates sexual health resources for the queer community. In addition to her work with Kiki, Krista is a self-described “jill of all trades”. She is a writer of fiction and non-fiction, and a theater kid at heart.
While we do talk about the importance of queer-inclusive sexual health education, this conversation contains multitudes! We spent almost as much time fangirling over Sondheim as we do about the “right” way to have an orgasm. I really enjoyed the way that the Tarot piped up in this conversation in particular; the cards very assertively took us on a huge left turn from what we thought we would talk about, and that left turn led us down an extremely fruitful and tender path.

Hope Amico (she/her) is a visual artist, creative practice cheerleader and chief correspondent at Keep Writing, a monthly interactive postcard project started in 2008. Hope helps people connect with their creativity - even if they “aren’t creative”. She hosts collage meet-ups, leads workshops in creativity through drawing and book arts, and believes all people can benefit from a creative practice.
Does that phrase sound familiar? It should! It’s very close to the manifesto on my own website: “All people deserve an integrated life and the healthy pursuit of pleasure.” Just as I believe that pleasure is a fundamental part of the human experience, Hope’s work centers the idea that creativity is something we all do - not a static quality that only some people have. As a person who is chronically guilty of saying “I’m not creative,” Hope is exactly the kind of artist I’ve needed to hear from.
In our conversation, Hope and I get some really lovely cards (all reversed!) that prompt us to chat about the importance and beauty of failure, the relationship between creativity and pleasure, and why people need to hear artists say “I can’t draw” to realize that they are artists, too.
Tarot reading starts at 13:01.

Becca Rich (she/her), holistic time coach, is a trauma-sensitive, certified holistic coach with a background in engineering and mindfulness who believes that traditional time management is outdated and harmful to our mind, body, and soul. She provides a safe, supportive space for conscious entrepreneurs and professionals to heal time scarcity, overworking, and overwhelm so they can create a life of peace–at work, home, and within.
In our conversation, Becca and I touch on time scarcity, the myth of "discipline", and the connection between how we feel about time and how we feel about other resources (like, for example, money).
Tarot reading starts at 15:47.

Eli Lawliet (he/him) is a full-spectrum support provider for those questioning, exploring, or transitioning their gender. As a tarot reader and spiritual explorer, he uses trans identity as a lens for interfacing with the sacred. Eli is also an academic, with a PhD in anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he studied the intersections of trans identity, spirituality, and activism.
I knew I had to talk to Eli from the first moment I saw his professional title: The Gender Doula. (As some of you may know, I describe myself as a Tarot doula on my own website.) The concept of a “doula” is, essentially, a person who walks with you as you do the difficult work of transformation. It’s a uniquely powerful type of relationship - and, as Eli and I discuss, it’s a type of support that pretty much everyone will need at some point in their lives, even outside of the context of birth and pregnancy.
Tarot reading starts at 19:40.

Jimanekia Eborn is a trauma expert, media consultant, and comprehensive sex educator. You may know her as the host of Trauma Queen, a podcast mini-series for survivors and the people who love them. She's also the founder of Tending the Garden, a non-profit for sexual assault survivors of marginalized identities. With a Masters in Health Psychology, Jimanekia has dedicated the past 13 years to working in mental health, sex education, and sexual trauma support.
In our conversation, we focus primarily on some very exciting - and somewhat anxiety-producing - developments in Jimanekia’s career. And along the way. Make sure you listen 'til the end to get some red-hot exclusive announcements about her upcoming projects! (As in, literally, we got the scoop on a new endeavor Tending the Garden hasn’t announced to the general public. Not bad for a first episode, no?)
Tarot reading starts at 22:22.
