In this episode, I will suggest that discernment is rooted in having a standard. Without a standard, our kids can be easily deceived and swayed towards wrong beliefs and way of living.

Respecting those in authority is one of the traits that our children must learn.  In this regard, raising children the Biblical way requires telling them of these truths: all authority came from God, we are to pray for our government leaders, and it is always best to trust God than to trust men.

COVID 19  has been forcing countries around the globe to make this difficult decision -  preserve life and health or protect the economy. In a generation wherein being self-centered is a way of life, our children must learn the opposite - to be compassionate to others. Teaching our children to be compassionate starts with the  parents modelling it . Training our children to be compassionate requires shaping their heart's affections and tendencies.
