On Halloween night, six witches gather to discuss punishing ill-mannered children. The next day, a teacher scolds four such children, Little Boo-Hoo, Little Never-Care, Miss Teaser, and Mr. Never-Say-Please, for their bad behavior. The witches cast a spell, turning them into doll-like statues. Columbus and his sailors arrive, breaking the spell by reciting verses and singing the Star-Spangled Banner, teaching the children a valuable lesson about being good and polite.
