If we want a change we need to start doing things differently.
In order to start doing things differently, we need to go out of our comfort zone.
Our minds want to keep us safe in the known, comfortable. How to get through?
If you repeatedly do something new it becomes your new comfort zone - it becomes easy.
With repetition, your brain learns that despite all kinds of feelings you don’t die.
Your mind will try to keep you safe as much as possible. Sometimes, by giving you very logical excuses. Aka "Why would you even do it?"
Going out of your comfort zone is hard, annoying, and energy draining.
👇 How to conquer going out of your comfort zone?👇
1. Accept it's going to be uncomfortable, practice regulating your nervous system.
2. Get into your body - dancing, physical activity, breath, naps,...
3. Schedule a pleasurable activity for before or afterward
4. Ask: How can you make the scary experience not as scary?
5. Just throw yourself in - if that works for you
6. Have support - Friend, coach, mastermind, psychologist, trainer, etc...
7. Welcome the fear, turn it into excitement
8. Don't have so much attachment to the outcome - "Let's see how it works for me" approach
When you start something it's messy, pushy, and then it becomes pleasurable!
If the thing excites you, do it despite all the fears! You will thank yourself later. 🌷
