John Flavel, the Puritan pastor, outlines fourteen practical ways to do so, beginning with resting in God’s sovereignty, remembering his promises, repenting of sin, and praying continually. Fear weakens the heart, clouds judgment, and robs God of glory. But faith, grounded in God’s character and care, gives courage and peace. Whether facing personal trials or global crises, believers can remain steadfast by keeping their hearts anchored in God’s Word and presence.
