Legalism or rigid rule following is one of the biggest reasons why people walk away from Jesus and his church. It takes away the joy of being loved by God and being part of authentic community. 
As South Asians (and Christians) legalism is a big part of our culture. Jesus through his word addressed this behavior with much seriousness. While we think it draws us closer to him, it actually does the opposite. If you are struggling with it, we hope this helps.

Sarah (co-host) grew up as an only child in a very comfortable home. She found Jesus at a young age but teenage years were not all smooth. When it was time to pursue college, she wanted to be away from home.

Even though she never wanted to be an engineer, she said yes to make parents happy but God would use those years to lead her to something she eventually becomes very passionate about. Theology.
