In this episode, I have a reflective conversation with my friend Ore as we recount the incidents that led up to the October 2020 #ENDSARS protests. How do we follow through and continue to provide avenues that hold leaders accountable and empower individuals to speak up and speak often?
Criticism is something we've all encountered. In this episode, I interview a friend, Celine who's a fashion model in Milan, Italy. I felt her view point on the subject would be insightful because we all know that such a field is notorious for its judgement on physical looks. So how do we put aside what has been said about us or the negative things that we have come to believe about ourselves? What does life look like when we are able to use criticism as empowerment? Well let's have listen and be encouraged. Know that who you are and what you do matters.
In this episode I talk about the different seasons of life. As fall comes to end and the winter breeze blows against my face, this makes me reflect on how I stay strong and keep my confidence regardless of my circumstance. How do you stay strong in every season? This is important because great things are only achieved once we've persevered through rough times before finally seeing the results.
In this episode, I interview my friend Doreen on her experiences with unrequited loved. Ultimately, if someone says they love you, then their actions should match.
In this episode I interview a friend and mentor, Tosin Joel about her unique role as someone who encourages and empowers others. She has always encouraged me to have a vision and to take intentional steps towards achieving my goals. Her story is one of overcoming great challenges to achieve what seems impossible. She is now a source of inspiration for others and has begun an initiative to empower one person a day.
This episode is all about mastering the art of personal planning. I talk about how planning brings about progress and how patience is a necessary variable in the equation. I interview my friend Priscilla who has inspired me in this area of life. We discuss acquiring patience to watch things grow and having a purpose so that planning leads to eventual progress.
In this episode I talk about some thoughts behind comparison. We limit ourselves when we worry so much that others are better than us. Personally, this is a draw back. I interview my younger brother and we discuss how to stay focused and confident in such a competitive world.
Failure is inevitable and we have to address the emotions that come with. But in the words of this young wise man, "You cannot know success without knowing failure". I've made a personal commitment to always document the positive aspects of every experience and use the lessons learned as a source of encouragement.
This year has been tough for a lot of us. In this episode, my friend and I discuss how taking care of our body by exercising during the quarantine has helped maintain our mental health and how these two connect to becoming more confident. Listen in cause I know many of us have similar stories.
