Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Democrats have been yammering on about how inappropriate it is for President Trump to nominate a replacement Supreme Court justice in an election year. But the Constitution says voters choose the president, and the president chooses Supreme Court justices. As RBG herself said, the president does not cease being president in his fourth year. He has the right and responsibility to nominate Ginbsburg’s replacement. The process must be completed by November 3. Democrats and their six-hundred lawyers will challenge every result they don’t like, and so the selection will wind up at the Supreme Court. The Court is split four to four, and you can’t settle this issue with a tie vote. So Mr. President, full steam ahead to nominate RBG’s replacement. The Founders wouldn’t have it any other way.
