Publisher's Summary:
OCD kindergarten teacher Johanna hates Valentine's Day. She hates romance, hates commercialism, and definitely hates her school's annual charity date auction. She never expects her pre-auction night of drinking to land a sexy Brit in her bed. Or for that Brit to show up at the auction, bid thousands just to talk to her again, and get down on one knee in front of everyone and ask her to marry him.
Viscount Damon Hayes has never met anyone like Johanna. She's neurotic, fascinating, and fun. She also doesn't care about his title and doesn't want his money, which makes Johanna perfect to fulfill a surprise clause in his father's will: marry within three months and remain married for a year, or lose his fortune. A relationship is out of the question, but when passions ignite and the two fall in love, their marriage of convenience becomes anything but.

don't have high expectations going in
Quick read: yes. Enjoyable read: not so much.
I love romance stories, and the "must get married" theme is an old one but sometimes a very fun one. This one was... not.
The book cover caught my attention and so did the first few pages of the preview - which is why I bought the book.
But I can only handle so much predictability. I know it's a short story, but come on. Give the villains some believability, give your hero and heroine some actual personalities. I don't feel like a lot of time was put into fleshing out the characters or the story, just into moving the story from "Get out oh ye one night stand" to "Let's get married to solve problem x" to "Oh no I'm in love, but they don't love me back" to "yay we're all in love". I skimmed a LOT of the story progression because the characters themselves didn't hold my interest enough for me to care.
A cute Valentine's day story
A cute Valentine's Day romance.
Johanna wakes up Valentine's Day after to much to drink with a handsome man with a British accent in her bed. Embarrassed she kicks him out. That evening the same man buys her in a charity auction, and proposes to her.

On One Condition...Lovely, Light-Hearted Romance!
In the mood for a lovely, light-hearted romance novel without all the drama, this is definitely the book to submerge into. Of course, the premise has been utilize time-and-time again, but it's just such an adorable theme that will always linger around forever!
After their drunken one-night stand, Johanna literally throws Damon out of her apartment never to be reminded of the incident again. It just so happens that this will be easy for them because neither one of them knows the other's name, however, that will all change. For you see, there is a charity function the following evening that will once again unite the estranged couple.
Johanna is a kindergarten teacher whose school is putting on a dinner auction, which will have Johanna auction-offed to the highest bidder. And the highest bidder will be none other than the Viscount Damon Haymes, her overnight visitor.
