On Second Thought Ep. 265: Texas pitcher Tristan Stevens on journey to Omaha, A&M coach Schlossnagle on getting Aggies to CWS in first season
Texas and Texas A&M could be on a collision course to meet in the second round of the College World Series on Sunday but each has more pressing matters Friday when they open up with Notre Dame and Oklahoma ,respectively.
Texas senior pitcher Tristan Stevens and A&M coach Jim Schlossnagle join the On Second Thought 265 podcast to discuss their journeys to Omaha. Steven, who pitched Texas to the super regional title win over East Carolina, will be appearing in his third midsummer classic while Schlossnagle, a former TCU coach, will be in his sixth , having led the Aggies to Omaha in his first season.
Hosts Kirk Bohls and Cedric Golden also discuss the historic spring season turned in by Longhorn teams, the rising cost of winning and the pressure on Texas football to get it done in Year 2 under coach Steve Sarkisian.
