Respect is necessary. Acceptance is ideal.

I forgot my wallet on the last morning of a year with many turnarounds...and in true 2020 fashion, I had to turn around. I also saw two American Bald Eagles over my hilltop in West Virginia, which I take as an omen for freedom and courage to look ahead.

Today, for my birthday, I decided to drive from Martinsburg to Moorefield, West Virginia through the mountains via back roads...or at least off the interstate. One can sometimes see remnants of old roads in the woods, now overgrown and unused. But our highways and byways are often along routes tread by early European settlers, and almost undoubtedly, many were used much earlier. The system we have now is an evolution of paths.

An episode to listen to while in a place of decent stillness (ironic perhaps, since most episodes are recorded while driving). Opens with a brief reflection on Worry - how it feels collectively present, and that focusing on it may often be unhelpful.
