This episode is our annual Pledge-O-Rama episode asking for support for the small University radio station that makes On Target (and so much other valuable content) possible. If you're new to On Target then this episode is a great way to get a taste of what Mod Marty does here: 7", analogue vinyl is spun at 45rpms for about an hour a week. The idea is to explore all the musical types from the mid 1950s through to the early 1970s that shaped Rock and Soul for the years that followed. From New Breed, Popcorn and Doo Wop to Ska, Northern Soul and Maximum RnB. If you don't know what those terms mean then stick with us and we'll guide you from the roots, up the tree, to the labyrinth of branches that grew the music of the present day... Pop withstanding.
